IMPORTANT CHANGES FOR THIS EVENT:
COACH PASSES: From 1st October 2008,
ALL Coaches MUST produce a VALID BJA
Coach Award card in person at BJA
centrally administered National
Events in order to be eligible for
the following:
• To gain entry to BJA centrally
administered National Events (ALL
Coaches, whether coaching or not on
the day, will be eligible for a 50%
reduction on the spectator fee on
production of their BJA Coach Award
card, except for the GB World Cup)
• To gain mat side access with their
player at a BJA centrally
administered National Event (Only
one coach per player will be
permitted at any one time).
This new ruling has been introduced
to enforce that only licensed
Coaches can obtain mat side access.
All Coaches who have a BJA Coach
Award card currently without photo
I.D must ensure that a photo is sent
to the BJA Head Office prior to the
1st October 2008 in order to be
eligible for the above. No photo =
No mat side access and no 50% off
the event spectator fee. All Coaches
who have not to date sent a photo to
the BJA have been written to
directly and have had prior notice.
Those who this is applicable to,
have 3 months in order to complete
this task.
BLUE & WHITE JUDOGI’S COMPULSORY FOR
THIS EVENT: An unanimous Board
decision was made on the 24th June
that this ruling will be fully
implemented at BJA centrally
administered National Events from
now onwards.
The BJA will provide blue judogis
for those athletes whose own suit
fails judogi control or is damaged.
No blue suit = No entry
ELIGIBILITY PROOF: All entrants must
send one of the following documents
to us with your entry form:
a) A photocopy of a British Passport
b) A photocopy of a British Birth
Certificate
c) A photocopy of necessary
documentation to confirm residency
and age (see exception below)
Exception:
We are aware that there may be a
very small number of players
competing at this level of judo
resident in the UK who due to their
families’ legal status will be
unable to obtain certain
documentation until the player
themselves are 16 years of age.

parents and/or coaches of these
players to contact James Sills or
Emma Taylor to discuss their entry.
